The singer, who has been publicized in history as an addict and known for substance abuse, went on social media, Instagram to be precise, to share her health struggles with her over 1 million followers.

"People, I've been sad and extremely sick," she revealed. She continued by sharing about how critical her condition has been. She admits how for quite some time, she has been debilitated by indescribable pain. She also shared how she almost died from anemia as her weight dropped to 97 pounds sometime around August. The Rockstar explained that she had no Hemoglobin.

Anemia is a deficiency in iron that is commonly marked by low hemoglobin in the blood. It can cause numerous problems, which could include dizziness, fatigue, and headache.

The musician, who is 56 years old said, although she has finally gained back her health and found relief from the ailment, the journey back to restore her health was not easy. She wrote that "I was stigmatized for being an addict for 9 months by many ill-equipped doctors, backward doctors, and quacks".

Meeting a wise pain management doctor, however, enabled her to take major steps towards her recovery. The practitioner, who has remained undisclosed and unidentified, introduces Courtney to CBD oil which is a famous natural remedy for relieving pain and tackling sleep-related challenges like insomnia. This is apt for those who do not wish to opt for pharmaceutical medication.

She said, "I'm so good now," and then reveals that the drug has 'removed ALMOST ALL the physical symptoms,' as well as the 'pain.'
